ACEF is dedicated to the education needs of the construction industry through the development of Safety Training, Management Education Seminars and Continuing Education Workshops. Whether you are a contractor requiring 75 employees to become OSHA certified or a journeyman requiring an 8 hour continuing education workshop for license renewal, ACEF has the program for you.

OSHA Safety Training
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach
This course will qualify an employee to become a competent safety person on commercial and residential construction jobsites. They will be able to recognize and correct safety hazards. - OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach
This course will provide personnel with knowledge of mandatory OSHA standards, help personnel examine workplace conditions to make sure they conform to applicable standards and assist personnel in establishing or updating operating procedures and required employee training. - NFPA 70-E Safety Workshop
This course provides information and training required of employees and employers working on live electrical circuits. The topics covered include: ARC-flash hazards, Personal Protective Equipment, Approach Boundries, Energized Work Permits, and other required knowledge.
Construction Education Outreach Programs
- Continuing Education Workshop for Electricians
This 8-hour course highlights the more significant changes to the NEC with the adoption of the 2008 version of the code; including a discussion of the practical application of these changes. Derrell Hill - a master electrician with 30 years of electrical experience - has taught this workshop to nearly 2,000 journeymen and masters throughout the state of Arkansas.
This workshop is offered frequently throughout the year and at various locations across the state. The course has been approved by the following agencies: Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners, Oklahoma Construction Industries Board and Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation. A unique, new series of management education courses being designed in collaboration with UALR's Construction Managment Program, ACEF and Associated Builders and Contractors. Intended for Project Managers and Jobsite Supervisors, this series is being developed to grow the critical competencies needed by managers of Arkansas construction firms and the follow-up to assist managers with the implementation of what they have learned. - Motor Controls
This seminar focuses on different methods of starting motors; reading and understanding schematic and ladder diagrams; working with commonly used pilot devices; troubleshooting, and many additional topics. This seminar is scheduled "on demand" and is held at various locations across the state. - Test Preparation for Electrical Exam
This 16 hours course is designed to prepare you to take and pass the state electrical exam for your journeyman's or master's license. This is an "on demand" course and is held at various locations across the state. - Scaffolding Seminar
Participants learn the safe and proper procedures for the set-up and use of various scaffolds used in the construction industry. Course work includes safety regulations, configuring for various load situations, and use of proper tools and equipment. This is an "on demand" seminar and is held at various locations across the state.
